colombian cartel police raid uncovers a small menagerie

just thought I'd share some news a few months old with everyone. In a wealthy Mexico city suburb a dawn raid by police on a suspected Colombian cartel residence uncovered a small menagerie with some rather large cats. 11 Colombians and 2 Mexicans were arrested. Police found a huge amount of cocaine, asualt rifles handguns and other weapons and most suprisingly some lions tigers one of which was White and a black panther. A gardener who was working in the grounds is claiming a breach of human rights because he was apparently threatened by the police to tell them where the leader of the cartel was or he would be put inside the cage with one of the lions, poor gardener..... Wow very strange news ,eh? I imagine that more then a few police informers and rival gang members were "introduced" to the cats.

These animals are now in the Guadalajara zoo... the lions and jaguars at least. They were very obese when they got there, but they were put on a diet and now they are quite healthy- I went visit them a couple times.
The jaguars are very impressive and I can totally believe that they were fed human flesh once in a while... I can recognize when an animal looks at me from behind the glass and starts thinking of eating me... drooling and all.

I think I have pics of them in my other computer, will share when I get it back
