The park suffered serious storm damage on Saturday. A total of 20 trees came down, including 3 massive trees, 2 of which disconnected the park main power supply, whilst the other damaged 2 enclosures which held ,,2 Black and White Lemur and the other housed 8 Wallabies. Fortunately, no animals were injured or escaped. The keepers also had to move the African penguins, Oscar, the Great White Pelican, 2 emus and all of the reptiles because of the lack of electricity.
They would have been, or close to being, in the 'red zone' for the highest wind speeds. I wonder how the Welsh parks like Folly Farm and Manor House got on as they were too.
