Youtube or Facebook some bird shows at Tracy. The show manager there is quite exceptional. Who else would turn a 50 year old imprinted condor into a star? He's recently passed but it doesn't take away from the achievement. Parent-reared wreathed hornbill flying loose on the facility (SUPERVISED) based on relationship with trainers and not on food. Cool place and in general doesn't get the kudos it deserves.

Yeah they're quite superb with what they accomplish with their show birds, very impressive. Though from all I've heard, they tend to not get a ton of kudos because their general management staff hasn't been well liked.

Just want to note that Brookfield recently switched all of their signage that previously listed "Blue-crowned Motmot" to Amazonian Motmot. So at the very least they believe that the North American motmot population is that species.

That being said, this is the zoo that still signs "Northern Oriole" and adamantly claims their Bactrian Camels are Wild and not Domestic.
