My favourite reply is still the second one. It neatly sums up helpful and calling out lunacy all at the same time.

I assume the OP only had the elephant with them in the drive through for a short amount of time so now the question which might have seemed relevant to them at the time is not only stupid but just too late. My advice however would have been to get the little bag of fruit.

Technically an elephant can eat anything, it'll just have to deal the consequences after the fact. Just like how users on this site can start threads about anything, but that doesn't mean it'll provide value.

This question is very simple. Yes, they CAN eat French fries, but I really really really do not think it is anywhere close to a good idea, since it might not be good for their health. Yes, maybe having one French fry that accident gets dropped in the enclosure probably won't harm them, but they shouldn't eat a few hundred of them at once. Also, what is the point in posting this in the "Wildlife & Nature Conservation" sub-forum? This belongs in the "Zoo Cafe" sub-forum instead. This feels kind of like a dumb question to ask anyway.
