Council owned Zoos

Are there any council owned or council run zoos left in the UK, or privately run zoos operating on council owned land?

Brent lodge zoo, Ealing. I believe Belfast is still council owned. There are a few other small zoos around.

Dudley Zoo & Birmingham Nature Centre are council run as far as I can remember

Camperdown.

Calderglen is owned by South Lanarkshire Council. Camperdown is owned by Dundee City Council.

Lotherton Hall, Tropical World and Pudsey Park (although I'm not sure how extensive their captive collection is) are all run/ owned by Leeds council.

The Animal Education Centre and various aviaries in parks in Hull are also council run.

Isn't Tilgate run by their local council?

Yes it definitely is run by Crawley Council. At £3 entrance, possibly the best value zoo in the Uk, though Birmingham Nature Centre might also deserve consideration .
