What I meant about West Park was that the few aviaries are not (or at least were not when I last saw them) in an enclosed area separate from the rest of the park. I did not see them as an attraction in their own right even though they are a very welcome addition to the park.
Pleased to hear there are still aviaries in Pickering Park.
Some time after it opened the AEC contacted Sewerby Zoo for advice on zoo licensing, I do not know the outcome though.
