Eagle Heights

That's a good piece of news. Another species new to the UK. Looks like I'll be getting down to Kent this year. Visited Eagle Heights a few years ago. Got some good photos during the flying displays, I'll get around to uploading some soon.

Have seen the 3 crowned Eagles at Eagle Heights the 2 in the outside aviary looked very calm and relaxed the 1 inside on the other hand was partial screened off from the public but this bird was bouncing off the walls and mesh with great regularity,as for the ones at Warick Castle they have been moved to the owners of the birds breeding center and are no longer there.

I am sure the (inter)national bird of prey (falconry) centre at newent had a wild pair from africa in the past and a number had been brought into the country for private breeders/keepers before the general wild import ban.

I saw them at Newent in 1997.

I don't agree they should encourage the visitors to hand feed the animals and I think the costs are expensive, £60 per unit on animal experiences. It is not educational, is unnatural and a rip off!

Didn't want to start a new thread for this, but on their website they have a picture of a fully fledged martial eagle hatched at the park, but from when i do not know, they are claiming it is only the third hatching in Europe.

NEW ADDITION!!!
