Dallas Zoo Dallas Zoo News 2009

Cheetahs instead of wild dogs - well since some of you know how I feel about cats - that is one change I can definitely live with! (Will be glad to see the cheetahs moved from the old part of the zoo into a better home).
 
I had heard rumor that they wouldn't be getting wild dogs simply due to the fact that there were none to be had. Frankly I too like the idea of having the cheetahs here and getting them out of ZooNorth. This will only leave a few African animals in ZooNorth now.
 
I just checked the November update on the website. Area will include a new restaurant with large glass windows overlooking lions and cheetahs. I only have one thing to say about that: YES :D:D:D
 
Savanna update

I'm excited to post this one. You all can now see what I've been seeing for months. The zoo has just posted a video detailing the construction on the Savanna. Here's the link.

Thanks for posting the video, and I love the idea of chowing down on food in a new cafe while watching lions or cheetahs through viewing windows.:)
