An update to the list. This time I have organised the zoo into sections. These are not official complexes but I feel my divisions make sense and will make the list easier to read:

Thanks for posting an updated species list! I've always been intrigued by DeYoung Family Zoo. (Private family-owned facilities have always caught my attention.) They have such oddities that aren't typically exhibited in many private facilities.

Does DeYoung still house their hippo alone? I feel like finding a companion may be difficult. How many Spotted and Striped Hyenas did you see? Doesn't DeYoung specialize in breeding them?

They keep only one male hippo. They aren't a species that one can just buy on the private trade very easily, if I remember correctly they were gifted the hippo as a baby from a zoo in Indonesia.

I saw four Spotted Hyenas, and either one or two Striped (it was hard to tell in the dark cage). DeYoung doesn't specialize in breeding hyenas, they specialize in raising baby hyenas, and are regularly sent baby hyenas from zoos around the world.
