Edinburgh Zoo Did Edinburgh once have a tiger called Mercedes?

Like what was mentioned before they had a polar bear called Mercedes... their tigers at that time if i remember rightly were Sasha and Yuri
 
his was pre-Sasha - I remember commenting on them having two large carnivores called Mercedes.

My memory of the notices were that she had had to have a hystrectomy.

Yes the female before Sasha was called Mercedes I think. She was still at the zoo when Sasha arrived. Can't remember the name of the male she was paired with but when they both died Yuri arrived from Duisberg? around 2000 as far as I remember and was then paired with Sasha.
