The Zonnegloed provides shelter for exotic wild animals. It is therefore not a real zoo, but rather a sanctuary.The need for shelter is great and has increased significantly in recent years. Driven by the desire to help as many animals as possible, the sanctuary took in more and more animals.
As a result, Zonnegloed has grown much faster than expected in recent years. So much so that the non-profit organisation now shelters more animals than is legally permitted. And despite having safe and sufficiently large enclosures, these are not always licensed.
This is where the problem lies, and regularisation is needed. The sanctuary must therefore temporarily adjust its operations and reduce the number of animals in order to ensure and strengthen the future care of wild animals. Fellow animal shelters will help Zonnegloed in this endeavour...
