Dierenpark Zie-ZOO Dierenpark Zie-ZOO news 2024

I went to Zie-zoo for the first time today. I was pleasantly surprised. A proper Snowleopard exhibit in the Netherlands !!!

The new part of the zoo is awesome. Given the fact that this zoo probably hasn't got a massive budget. I loved it.

The old part of the zoo is a little bit dated, but i have seen worse. With the new bearforrest and new exhibits surounding it, It will probably improve vastly

Most new exhibits could do with more viewing opportunaties. Most have only a window on one side (except the snowleopards, yessss)

The collection is astonishing. I will definitly return when the bearforrest opens or when the is snow on the ground to photograph my favorite animal

Is the area behind the Mountain exhibits and between the old part and car park property of the zoo ? If yes, will it be developed in the future

No, this area is property of a different owner, there is a dentist practice and a large garden on that property.
 
According to a recent post in the Vrienden van Zie-Zoo Facebook group their European ground squirrels sadly did not survive their hibernation. Their exhibit is for the time being just a wild flower garden.
