Hanwell Zoo Disgusting news

That is absolutely sickening.

I hope the Police apprehend those responsible and give them a stern punishment.

It is fairly typical behaviour for foxes to 'decapitate'(well, chew off) the head of a large prey item they can't drag away and Wallaby would certainly come into that category.

Yes, but I was surprised that they seemed to have originally excluded it as a possibility without sufficient cause.

I have read several time in the paper about people finding all their chooks dead spread around killed and blaming people for it. People dont understand what foxes do and are to quick to blame people.

I would say fox too, I found a headless rabbit in my in laws garden earlier this year in the same spot my sister- in -laws dog had been badly bitten. (M- in -law blamed her next door neighbors dog but that was impossible for so many reasons) I think Archie had come upon the sleeping fox and suffered the attack, I was luckier i think it hearing me approaching and ran off leaving the headless and very fresh rabbit, there were piles of wood pigeon feathers there too.
As I'm sure we all know, foxes kill as much as they can then bury the victims in shallow scrapes, I believe they prefer slightly off meat as it is easier to digest.
