An exhibit that is obviously the first thing you would see at a zoo.
Example Flamingos at Audubon or Spider Monkeys at Philadelphia

Zoo Miami
Brookfield zoo
Bronx zoo
San Diego zoo
Saint Louis zoo
Omaha Henry Doorly zoo
Miami has flamingos, gibbons, and tigers
San Diego has Flamingos and koi near the admin building
The Bronx has the sea lions and camels
Brookfield does not have any entrance animals
Saint Louis does not
Omaha has okapis
If you have any other zoos try going to their websites, finding the maps, and checking there. They should have those exhibits marked because they aren't part of a section and need to be individually marked so people know they exist.

I wouldn't call the sea lions at Bronx an entrance animal... there's multiple exhibits that are closer.

Omaha has Desert Dome at one entrance, other has the big children's area making goats the first thing you see.

The ones closer to the entrance are aviary cages that are hard to see the birds in unless you approach them. Meanwhile the sea lions are both highly visible from a distance and loud.

The Bison are also closer. From the main entrance, there's the children's zoo and zoo center.

Some of those maps are a real pain to view, a lot of them don’t even include the animal.
