Has anyone heard of this exotic ranch? They breed a variety of exotics for sale in the private trade and also offer safari/zoo tours (expensive though).

They seem to have a very interesting collection of species, from their website, USDA reports and social media:

  • Cape Fox
  • Agile Wallaby
  • Hog Deer
  • Long-eared Hedgehog
  • Aardwolf
  • Chacoan Mara
  • Cloud Rat
  • Springhare
  • Markhor
  • Pygmy Hippo

Some of these like the Cape Fox, Springhare and Chacoan Mara I've never heard of being around in the US private trade. Are these new species? If they are its possible some might wind up in non-accredited zoos here in the near future. I wonder if the recent Aardwolf additions at places like ZooWorld and Garlyn Zoo came from here?

I have an acquaintance who obtained a springhare from a breeder in Texas that went by kapi’yva Exotics. Kapi’yva also had some nice rarities such as palawan porcupine chacoan maras and yellow-spotted hyrax. According to my acquaintance once kapi’yva was closed the springhares were sold to dragonstone.

Edit 2: the aardwolves in ZooWorld and Garlyn (the latter of which hasn’t shared any posts on instagram since summer 2023) may have also come from Twin Pine Farm and Exotics.
