Durrell and sierra parakeets

Most of us read quite some books by Gerry Durrell so I hope someone has an answer here. In one of his books Gerry refers to Sierra Parakeets (or Aymara parakeets or psilopsiagon aymara). Does anyone knows in which books he does. I have been re-checking "The whispering land" and "The Drunken forest" but they aren't mentioned in either one. Does anyone know in which book the refernence might be. He saw them at a market in Mendoza.

I don't recall reading of the event, but if it's definitely not mentioned in the books listed above (and definitely in Mendoza, Argentina) then it might be in one of his compilation style books like Fillets of Plaice or Encounters with Animals.

:p

it sounds familiar but (just a random thought) maybe it was mentioned in Rosemary Low's "Parrots, their care and breeding"? She often referenced older records of parrots from travellers and collectors, and I'm pretty sure she had Durrell in there a few times.

Also, this link says Durrell brought the first ones back to the UK but he bought them in a market in Lima, Peru: SPLENDIDS.CO.UK - Sierra

Rosemary Low has indeed been quoting him in het book The parrot of South America (Low 1972), but I am looking for the original quotes. Rosemary Low unfortunately did not remember from where she got the quote. It was from one of his books and not from personal conversation but it has been a while.
