Hi, i was recently scrolling down the document that announced which American products might have tarrifs (of 25%) imposed on. The list includes, but is not limited to:
-live domestic ducks
-live domestic geese
-live domestic turkeys
-live domestic chickens and chicks
-live domestic guinea fowl
-all meat
-fertilised eggs for incubation of domestic fowl
-saddles and other harnasses
This all seems to only affect farmers for now (at least the EU-USA trade war) but i wondered if measures imposed by the US on the EU or measures imposed as a result of other trade wars with the US include products that zoos need. I also wondered if this trade war could complicate the import certain animals from/to US zoos?
I also notice that animal food (species not specified, so i think all animals, including exotics) are on the list, are any zoos in the EU at risk? Do any use American animal foods?
And my last question, will any building projects in zoos be impacted by these tariffs?
