Christie of the Utah Hogle zoo is supposedly pregnant with twins...
MeTu of the Oregon zoo gave birth to twins in 1994, one was stillborn and the other (Rose Tu) is still alive and herself reproducing.

I am also recording and compiling multiple births and am getting fairly far into it. Have you discovered anything further than what is on here? Once I transfer everything I have onto a computerter from my notebook I will post a document of my findings.

Also Asian elephant Thura from Leipzig Zoo was pregnant with twins, which was not known at the time. She went into labour for two days, but didn't give birth. Both calves were only discovered through the autopsy after Thura's death last year.

First known elphant twins ( Elephas maximus) in Human Care were born July 28 ( dead born), and August 10, 1951 at Munich Zoo. Both were female. The second was found after the mother died on August,10. It was of course dead , too.
