A new article at ShowMe Elephants searches for the whereabouts of a fomer Twycross Zoo elephant, an African female named Linda. She was sold to the Chipperfields in 1974 with a possible destination of Cuba??
Update 05/22/2012: Linda arrived to the Knowsley Safari Park (owned by the Chipperfields) in 1974. She was one of four African elephants sold to Cuba via the Dutch importer Frans van der Brink.
If anyone has further information regarding the animal in question, please leave a comment or message me in an effort to complete their records for elephant historians.
