Thank you for your response. I didn't know the Toronto zoo had barn owls. To my knowledge the only species you forgot are: southern bald ibis(calgary zoo), citron crested cockatoo and the javan sparrow(bloedel conservatory) I conviently forgot about them in my previous post. There could be curssarow in the biodome though I don't think they are their anymore.
Crested wood partridge aren't technically endangered but soon they will be by the looks on the decreasing population. I'm pretty sure there are more endangered parrots, penguins(humboldt, rockhoppers and macoroni) and maybe a few waterfowl not sure about any other bird group.
(I would very much like to be proven wrong on the previous sentence)

Thank you for that information I didn't that they were the only place in north america to breeds them I wonder why their so hard to breed. Their closest relatives comparitivly, breed fairly easily. Are wild Swan gooses rare in north america thank you for the info that they are present in north america outside of the U.S . With my own personal reseaserch this is all the species held so far.

thank you for providing this information It was extremly helpful.
(this could use updating)

Wild swan geese do not occur in North America. Secretary bird Katani passed away a couple of years ago, so Toronto no longer has that species. I also believe we lost our Cabot's Tragopans around the same year.

I meant the non the domesticated kind in captivity. Thanks for the update on the secretary bird and cabots tropagon. I haven't visited the kid's zoo in years(nor the eurasia section), now I regret it.

Assiniboine Zoo also has these two vulnerable species:
  • Red-Crested Wood Partridge (Rollulus rouloul)
  • Stellar’s Sea Eagle (Haliaeetus pelagicus)

Thank you I did not know they had wood partridges. I feel like there is smaller amount then there should be. I know a few species may not currently be remembered. But still....
