I went to the zoo today and the Envirodome was open, it was open from yesterday.
Inside it had many climate change features and interactives which are pretty cool.
Majority of the building is for school students, and stairs going to the roof to tents for students.
Inside there were many animal exhibits, one had veiled chameleons, another with splendid tree frogs, another with a carpet python, one with huntsman spiders, one with spiny leaf insects, a tank full of water bugs and another tank with seahorses supplied by the seahorse farm in Port Adelaide. Also there was a pool with murray river animals which included golden perch, murray river rainbow fish, murray catfish, purple-spotted gudgeons, yabbies and shrimp.
Many of the exhibits have fake things in them, like fake logs and plants but inside there is a rainforest area with the chameleons, python and frogs which has live plants around the exhibits.
Everything inside is very nice and modern, my thought of it before was it was a waste of time but now I think it was worth it.
Also around the zoo the panda house is up and going with the walls up with frames.
The male lion is looking alright after his attack and the new sea lions have settled in very well.
Also I recommend when people go to Adelaide Zoo to go to the sun conure aviary which is behind the tamarins and have a look at the razor-billed currassow, she comes right up to you.
Everything was looking good at the zoo but I was there for 3 hours (not very long I know) and I checked the orangutans at 3 different intervals and they were not there, not even siamangs, every time I go I can never see them.
