Around 40 European pond turtles have been released near the river Lauter.
This is already the third release of this species in this area. 2013 15 animals were re-introduced and a year later 22 animals were set free.
The animals for release are provided by Petite Camarrgne Alsacienne and Zoo Mulhouse.
