Thus far, Budapest has not experienced much success within the Cup - however, there is still the opportunity for redemption, as it faces off against Wroclaw within the category of TEMPERATE FOREST.

As always, I hope for a decent blend of discussion and debate over the course of the next three days - but more importantly I hope everyone else continues to enjoy participating in these matches!

I reckon that the excellent European fauna area at Wroclaw, containing wildcat, lynx, wolves, barbary macaque and bear, is a definite feather in the Polish collections bow - pending further discussion I think a 3:2 vote for Wroclaw is a good starting point.

Bit of a quiet one thus far - does anyone (perhaps @lintworm ) have any thoughts or feedback?

Well, this one has gone down like the proverbial lead balloon :D fancy making the case for Budapest, @Penshet ?

Not much to add I'm afraid! I have only visited Budapest which was not extraordinary in this category, but figured I'd vote for what I knew until someone made the case for Wroclaw.
Nobody did, so I didn't re-evaluate my vote thus far.

By far the most disappointing match yet as regards participation and vote count:

Budapest - 23/55 points - 41.818%
Wroclaw - 32/55 points - 58.182%

I'd be very interested to hear from anyone who chose to sit this one out as regards their reasons!

My reason for this was that virtually nothing was posted in favour of either zoo and in matches where I have not been to either zoo I tend to rely on participation by others who have. Also the taxonomic (and to a lesser extent the geographic) category is far easier to obtain a list of species as a starting point if I don't have much idea what a zoo has to offer.
