There's a small aquarium in Tarpon Springs that houses Caribbean species of fish, including a Nurse shark feeding pool. However, despite being in like the smallest building ever to house a public aquarium, the aquarium houses a massive tank featuring a wide variety of species, including Nurse sharks, Bonnethead sharks, and an Atlantic goliath grouper. The actual structures of coral on the inside are comparable to that of the EPCOT Center and they have divers enter the tank regularly for feelings and educational presentations, it's definitely a gold bar in a trash can if you know what I mean.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium is also kind of dismal in terms of bare tanks, since it was built in an old water treatment plant, but their touch pool for Cownose rays is pretty good, including a pretty natural Floridian beach. The turtle exhibit in the next room is also excellent, with a very realistic species list in a realistic setting, including Green sea turtles and a Kemp's ridley.
