Absolutely disgusting. So many people don't like our justifiably strict export laws and try to circumvent it either by smuggling or by giving false information which is what has happened here.

I am not going to excuse illegal actions but I can’t help but think some prohibitions just don’t work in the long term.

50 grand isn't exactly spending money, what the sentence (?) evidently gets wrong is that he should be prohibited from ever having any business to do with import or export of wildlife.
The question mark is that it is not mentioned.
