Favorite native wildlife exhibit?

Most zoos especially in America have some kind of native wildlife area in them. So I was wondering what zoochatters consider their favorite or the best native wildlife habitat. Could be any country but just has to be native within that country :)

Almost every exhibit at the Belize Zoo is phenomenal! It helps that many of the exhibits amount to little more than sections of forest that are sectioned off for native species, allowing a truly naturalistic experience. Here are some photos I took:

While I've never been, some day I'd like to go to Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, which is supposed to have some of the best native species exhibits in the country.

This isn't an exhibit, but rather a whole zoo: Northwest Trek, with all species in the park being native to Washington (or formerly, in the case of American Bison). Almost all of the exhibits are very large and densely planted, including a drive-through hoofstock area that's over 400 acres large.

I never heard of this zoo before this but these exhibits look absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing :)

Belize Zoo looks very similar to ZooAve in Costa Rica. I was a little rushed on time when I was there, so I never got enclosure photos, but they seem to have a very similar feel, collection, and style of exhibitry.

Did you get a full species list for Belize Zoo?

i like the Roger Williams Park Zoo native area, with what is now home to turkey vulture and black vulture, the bald eagles and golden eagles, bison, which are not technically native but in North America as a whole, and the wetland trail, which is full of wild native species like turtles, herons, and other wildlife. and the common raven enclosure is awesome i don't know if its still there though.

Imo this idea was better executed at the less known Cumerland Wildpark Grünau/Austria.

However i go with the terrarium section at Alpine Zoo Innsbruck.
I worked at the Cumberland Wildpark for a couple months a few years back, and I don't think I've ever seen anyone bring it up on this site. It does have some pretty good enclosures, like the lynx and ibex enclosures, especially for being a fairly small and niche zoo/park, but it definitely pales in comparison to the photos I've seen from Innsbruck

Delta Country at the Tennessee Aquarium is very nice. Lots of small alligators and large turtles with a decent amount of space, massive live trees, wood ducks and mergansers swimming around (separate from the alligators, of course!), and just a pleasant, immersive overall space.

Actually, that aquarium has lots of top level native animal exhibits. It's just a great experience in general.
