Favourite animal calls.

Definitely eastern screech owl calls, so cool and they send a shiver right up your spine

I have so many but if I had to choose my faves, they would probably be these-

- Loon
- Kookaburra
- Siamang (and another gibbon whose name I don´t remember :S)
- Lion (I find all of their calls fascinating)
- Tiger (same as above)
- Mountain lion scream
- Wolf
- Spotted hyena
- Capuchinbird
- Bell bird
- Tinamou
- Elephant
- Crocodile/alligator mating calls
- Red deer mating call (when I first heard it I thought it would fit a dinosaur more than a deer XD Especially because I had only heard chital and sambar deer calls until that moment)

But even just crickets and frogs at night make me happy :D

I love the song of the willow warbler as a sign that spring has arrived. Little can compare with the song of the nightingale - provided you are not too close (those guys are LOUD ).
I am fond of the song of the African many-coloured bush shrike, because it is the only species I can attract by imitating its song: this is not a particularly impressive feat, because the bird books describe this song as 'a single, rather melancholy,"whoop" ;)'.
There is also something very special about the cooing of an eider drake and the bugling of whooper swans.
For mammals I can only offer the soprano cacophony of a bonobo group, the eerie call of an old male orang and the chest beating of a silverback gorilla.
