Feedback on my fiction about African wildlife?

Here are the first four chapters (I have eight more planned.) Feedback on anything you read would be greatly appreciated.

Chapter 1: The Dog and the Cheetah –– 4 pages
Chapter 2: A Diverse Coalition –– 10 pages [link to Chapter 1 + 2 here]
Chapter 3: Three Rescues More –– 9 pages
Chapter 4: Three Years Later...... –– 14 pages

It's about an African wild dog, based on the real-life Solo the wild dog, who befriends hyenas and jackals after her packmates are killed by lions. She later finds and rescues a king cheetah cub, who everyone believes is a cheetah-leopard hybrid.

The king cheetah grows up to be an exceptionally intelligent big cat, building affiliations with multiple other species and hoping to find his place in the Animal Kingdom as a "hybrid" who can't procreate.

(Content warning: this isn't a story to read to your kids if you wouldn't let them watch a TV-14 nature documentary.)
