Feral Blackbuck in Australia

A question that springs to mind: what are all these private owners doing with blackbuck? I 'get' the shooting ranch in Darwin. Is this what the others are doing, trophies? Keeping them for aesthetic reasons? I'm the first to agree they are a beautiful species but...

They are a nice animal. If I could keep them and did not have sheep I would love to have some.

There is/was a Game meat farm in eastern suburbs of Melbourne who were farming them for their meat, supplying them to high end restaurants.... they also had deer, pheasant, quail, rabbit and the other standard "game" animals. I guess others would be farming them for the same reasons.
