First Visit Of 2021?

With zoos due to open within a month I'm sure I'm not alone in looking forward to getting a captive animal fix. With that in mind I'm booked in to Dudley for within days of re-opening, so has anyone else already got something lined up? Or am I alone in really needing some R&R whilst wandering around a zoo?

I'm not booking anything yet, a month is a long time in Coronaland. I was at Bristol Zoo on it's last day of being open and would like to be there on its first day of reopening.

Nothing booked yet but I'll definitely be visiting Dudley first. I'm hoping to visit with some extended family who I've not seen for over a year, so will wait until we're all fully vaccinated and things are a little more back to normal before we visit.

I've got a few options in mind - Possibilities include Lakeland Wildlife Oasis, Hamerton, Wolds, Ark, or maybe Lincolnshire Wildlife Park.
I see Wolds are open for that first week and then weekends after that. Were they just open during school holidays before?

Gonna do as many as I can lol my birthday last yr was in lockdown this yr I plan to be at Lincolnshire wildlife park hopefully, then I have tickets from Dec for Colchester haven’t been there for over ten yrs so looking forward to that plan on Dudley as it’s local and I’m a twycross pass holder (need to renew first ) and when the sea lions have moved Yorkshire will be visited as well lol can’t wait just wish it was sooner x

I'm back home in Cheshire when zoos open up again so a visit to Chester is likely.

It's changed very frequently, so I'm not sure to be honest. They haven't had their so licence for very long though.

I'm hopefully gonna visit Hemsley Conservation Centre and do a Maned Wolf experience. I also wanna see the new Echidna they've got.

I'm planning for a trip to the Welsh Mountain zoo (mainly to see how the new Snow Leopard enclosure is getting on) but all will depend on the Welsh government

Updates in their galleries would be greatly appreciated! :):p

Based on previous experience I won’t immediately book Whipsnade-I’ve never seen so many cars jammed up along Bison Hill and Kensworth village! Utter chaos. I felt so sorry for the zoo staff.

I’ll leave it a week or two, but I am chomping at the bit!

Already visited Guarulhos zoo in Febuary but am likely to visit the zoo as much as possible this year (if the situation with the pandemic permits) and also plan on doing the same with São Paulo zoo.

I would like to pay visits to Sorocaba zoo, Bauru zoo and I am really hoping to go and see the Brazilian mergansers at Zoo Itatiba at some point though whether it will be this year is unclear.

I was lucky in that New Zealand came out of lockdown after a few weeks in May 2020 and things have largely returned to normal since then. I’ve since visited Auckland and Hamilton Zoo twice; and plan to visit Wellington Zoo in the near future.

It won't be my actual first 2021 visit, as I went to Twycross on the first weekend of the year, but I'm booked in with my parents to visit YWP on the 18th April if all runs to plan (they're taking me to the zoo for my birthday - it's like being 12 again :D ).

Chester is my local, but I'm sure that member slots will be like gold dust when first released. So, if not successful in scoring tickets I'll have to widen the net. I think most of us a more than ready to get out in that fresh spring air though aren't we? :)
