Just wanted to acknowledge what a great reference library of information these two have been to us all here at zoobeat, i have just pasted a pic of one of the new cheetahs at Chester and it got me to thinking how wonderful this site and youtube are in getting the message of zoos and the work they do out there, yes they are a very small link in a huge chain, but every little helps.
It was browsing on flickr that i discovered the arrival of purple faced langurs at Edinburgh (the 2nd lot).
Anyone else make any discoveries on flickr or youtube?

Hey Kiang.
I post most of my photos on flickr, including the ones i take at chester zoo. i try to tag the images with the zoo name and the animals, so its easy for people to find them. i cant always remember the species name - especially for a lot of the lizards!
Flickr is a great place to see other people photos... i always check to see how other people capture the animals in their photos as inspiration for my visits.
It also helps me decide where next to visit, as i can get a really good idea of what animal life (captive and wild) is about in the area.
Hopefully children will get to see photos of animals they cannot see in the wild, or even visit in the zoo; and become more interested in natural history.

yes, sometimes when i cant find things on google images i always try flickr for better results
