On September 8th, the zoo announced that a wattled crane hatched on August 29th, which is now on display in African Journey. This is the first time in Fort Wayne's history to successfully bred wattled crane.

On September 30th, the zoo announced they sexed the crane as female (0.1) and named it Sunny.

On October 3rd, the zoo announced they acquired a green iguana, which is now on display in the Indonesian Rain Forest's Rainforest Room (presumably in the former reticulated python exhibit).

On October 12th, the zoo announced their female (0.1) dingo named Naya passed away at age 15.
