As others have said it is most likely still dedicated for seasonal exhibits like Zoorassic park and the Butterfly House as they are very popular and probably won't go anywhere in the near future, however if rotating exhibits are for African animals here are some species I think would do well in those conceptual eight exhibits: 1. Meerkat as Jasper is currently a lone elderly male and due to meerkat societal structure he may be picked on and ostracized if he was introduced to a new mob (A conservation interpreter assures me that he is doing well by himself so I'll take her word on it) I think that having a mob with more than one member would be good to have. 2.Pancake Tortoise the zoo used to have one in the glass exhibit on the left of the Kopje Lodge next to the pool but is gone now and a unique looking reptile would be great to have. 3.Lizard that was housed with the Pancake tortoise, its name evades me but would be nice to have the two reptiles that were present on Africain adventure's day one back. 4.Rock hyrax would be good with it being a relative to the elephant. 5.Gaboon viper should be brought back as it used to even have its own dedicated skeleton and skull wall in the reptile house. 6.crested porcupine the zoo used to have a prehensile-tailed porcupine in the tropical aviary is no longer on display so this species should take its place as the resident porcupine. 7.pangolian any of four species native to Africia would do as to my knowledge Chaffee Zoo has never had one before. 8.Aardvark one of the most unique animals in Africa would be a good star species to get people to go through the trail off to side. Those are my top eight but some other that would be good Desert Horned viper, Africain spurred tortoise, spotted neck otter or South African penguin as I just wanted something from the canceled expansion to be present. The last two are unlikely as if this part was dedicated to animals it would probably be based on land not water and I'm assuming slightly bigger than the meerkat exhibit level of space would be dedicated to each animal here.
