I was recently looking at an old map of the Fresno Chaffee Zoo and where sea lion cove is now there used to be a Bison and elk exhibit but when I tried to look for pictures of it, no results came up. I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of it or where to find some.

Empty Paddock (Old Alpaca Exhibit) - ZooChat

This is part of the bison and tule elk complex. There were two of these paddocks separated by barns for the bison and elk. There were several species here after bison and elk left the collection. The new sea lion exhibit now sits on its footprint.

This was the original North American section of the zoo. There were the elk and bison paddocks, a prairie dog exhibit, and a fox exhibit, originally holding a San Joaquin kit fox. Over time that theming was abandoned as fennec fox replaced the kit fox and camels, alpacas, cranes, etc. rotated through the paddock exhibits.
