Hello! I'm working to compile a global list of where giraffe are housed both in zoos and privately. I've had a bit of difficulty finding information about Japanese Zoos. I'm hoping that the ZooChat community will be able to help! Would you be able to help find the name of the institutions and the number of giraffe that they house in Japan?

So far I've found:
Fuju Safari Park - # of giraffe unknown
Animal Wonder Resort Zoo - # of giraffe unknown

I'm a Japanese Zoochatter who used to go around zoos in Japan.

There are around 50 zoos in Japan with giraffes.
I don't know the accuracy, but there are some websites that list facilities with giraffes in Japan.

Zootierliste is unfortunately not complete for Asian zoos, but will give you an idea.
Most giraffes in Japan are reticulata hybrids, often called as "Reticulated Giraffes" or simply "Giraffes". However, there is a small population of pure tippelskirchi in some southern zoos.
