Longleat Safari & Adventure Park goats

does anyone have any information about the goats at longleat.
i would be very greatful.

They keep a group of females and every year they want kids they borrow a billy from Scotland once the girls are pregnant he goes home to scotland.

What type of Goats are they that they need to go all the way to Scotland for a male?

I have no idea why they bring a billy down from Scotland. I think he comes from a goat farm every couple of years. He does the job though all the girls were pregnant by him a few years ago

One from down the road would do just as well- unless they are some particular breed which is numerically very low. Still don't understand it.

Been watching animal park around midday today, and I discovered the male goat came from wales not scotland (according to the program). I was reminded of this thread but have only just got around to posting this.
