The Los Angeles Times has published a series of articles on how the population growth of our species is affecting and may potentially affect Earth's ecology called "Beyond 7 Billion". It examines several aspects of what the expansion of our population means for society (food and water supply, etc.).

I am linking to two articles that I think will be of most interest to Zoochatters. The entire series can be found at the site of the linked articles.
