Hello,
What a good site to have found, I hope to speak to you all soon enough.

I am 30 and live in yorkshire with my family of humans felines and canines!
I have been raised with dogs myself my parents used to breed german shepherds and I have been activley involved in canine rescue of large breeds for a few years now.
I have helped to rehome countless cats in my life and reared many kittens that go on to have wonerful lives.
I train local dogs and also have a primary school education program for the community to help children respect and recogonise danger signs of dogs. Many years ago while considering to take a gap year before going to university I was desperate to follow my passion of
I am currently researching the history of uk dolphinariums.
I was due to train alongside sealife scarborough and hopefully gain more expenience at the skegness branch many years ago. However I chose to go striahgt to university and now many years later with a family and a different direction job wise the fascinations with cetaceans has crept in once more!

I am intersted in speaking to Mr Peter Bloom-indeed I cannot even seem to find if he is still alive! If anyone else can help or is willing to speak please let me know.

Sorry for rambling on have to check back in with the day job now! LJ

Re Peter Bloom, i may be wrong but belive he does or did have connections with Flamingoland at Malton, hwas there on my last visit but that was around 10 yrs ago. I remember the dolphins at THE old Scarbrough zoo as used to spend the summers as a child there staying with my grandparents.

Welcome from another Yorkshire member and one with a major interest in the the history of Flamingo Park/Land (Cuddles the Killer Whale being my all-time favourite zoo resident). I know Peter Bloom through being a regular visitor to F L, he is a very nice person who I'm sure would be able to help you. He is based at F L, with the company he runs with his brother providing the bird and Sealion shows. On this site you need to speak to John Dineley who is the expert on British Dolphinaria.
