Greetings From Tempe, AZ!

Hello, Everyone, I'm an avid zoo-goer living in Tempe, AZ. My home zoo is the Phoenix Zoo (I live 5 minutes away), but I've been to all of the zoos in Arizona, except Bearizona. I've also been to the "Las Vegas Zoo", Siegfried & Roy's, multiple zoos in California and Woodland Park in Seattle (when I was much younger). Photography is my passion and I love getting unusual photos of usual animals.

I look forward to my time here. It's great to find a website that is full of zoo-nuts such as myself!

What, like which zoo is my favorite type of rank or which I think are the best? I'd have to say, eliminating Woodland Park Zoo since it was so long ago since I was there, the San Diego Wild Animal Park is my favorite. I just love the open spaces and that they have 4 of my favorite animals: cheetah, ring-tailed lemur, tiger and lion (in that order). Which one do I think is the best? Probably San Diego Zoo. They are always growing and expanding exhibits. Many of you will laugh, but I think the Phoenix Zoo is a very close second. Not because they're my home zoo and I'm biased, but because they're really forward moving with new exhibits and providing as natural of a habitat as they can for their animals. And they've been a major player in Species Survival, especially the Arabian Oryx.

I would love to visit Ohio and visit Columbus and Cincinnati Zoos as I hear they both have pretty good facilities.
