I have heard rumours that Chester Zoo have a DVD featuring old guide books for sale.

I enquired about this last week and have had no reply from the zoo.

A friend of mine has asked twice and still does not know if such an item exists.

Is there anyone on the forum who can confirm the existance of this DVD, and if so, how do you obtain them.

Asking the zoo seems to be a waste of time.

With the exception of one or two notable people, communicating with the zoo in general is a waste of time these days.

The guidebook DVDs do exist, we auctioned the first at the EAZA barbecue. Have you tried going into the library in person?

They were £5 from the library when I got mine - they have another one with all of the Zoo News/members mags through the ages on too.

I have that one, maybe the sales of both DVDs would improve if they actually made an effort to assist prospective purchasers.

You are right KarooCheetah, sorry for the mistake.

SMR, it's almost as hard going into the zoo library as it is getting information off them. It's closed most of the time.

I'm puzzled as to why the zoo hasn't responded, the website is almost a 'how much money will you give us' site; yet I want to spend some and they donm't seem to want it.

I believe it is now open Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 15:00 - certainly was last month when I visited.
