Hi everyone,as you may have noticed from my signature,Im fairly big on my hair.I often spend 20 mintues in the mornign on it and I use several products so I decided I would start posting tutorials on how to acheive some of the styles I do.First off, maybe I should give you an overlook of my hair.It is about an inch, its very dark brown with a reddish tinge to it becuase I dyed it,it is very fine so i have to be careful about what i do to it or else it misbehaves and is static and frizzyish, it also is very thich so it is hard to get just right.

Overview of the Look: This look is a sraight, pieced look which is basically acheived by using a flat iron also known a straightening iron to take pieces of hair in small, centimetre thick pieces, clamping the iron as close to the scalp as possible, pulling the iron in the direction the hair grows and at the end pull fater with making a small flipping-up motion with the iron.

What You Will Need

-A thin flat iron/straightening iron

-heat protective spray/serum

-hair spray

-blow-dryer

Step One: Throughly wash your hair with hot or warm water
and towel try to make your hair semi-wet

Step Two: Apply a heat protecting serum or spray to prevent styling damage from the flat iron.Work this into your hair well all over.

Step Three: Start to blow-dry your hair to set the heat protectent in and to take out any water still in your hair.

Step Four: urn on your flat iron and wait for it to heat up completely. I have a CHI Flat Iron and it only takes 30 seconds to fully heat but alot of older models take up to five minutes so If you have an older model or one that takes longer, you may want to turn it on and let it heat up while your doing the first steps.

Step Five: Take a centimetre thick piece of hair, clamp your flat iron as close to the scalp as possible on the hair, pull the iron in the direction the hair grows slowly in a smooth motion then start to move the iron faster towards the end and make a small, flippign motion to create a straight pice of hair that sticks up a bit. After doing this throuh out the entire top of your hair,it will have a very textured, pieced look to it

Step Six: Run your igers through your hair to break it up even more and then apply a bit of hairspray.

This look takes a little practice to do and in the future i may post a youtube video on how to do it.Stay tuned for more

My older bro is huge on his hair! It is like a spiky japanese style, he straightens it and often uses a mixture of hair wax and a product call Gatsby kinda like moving rubber.

Although my hair is short yeah I spend time on my hair, I wash it out really well and naturally it stands up on it's own but I like to style it with Gell. I kinda pince it out like with just a tiny group of hairs spiked together.

Ahaha
with some particular people we usually talk about hairstyles, avant garde looks and stuff. ;)

I use to use Gell but its to moist for my hair if im trying to spike it and it doesn't hold very well.I usually use it to keep my hair down and in place when I blow dry it
