On March 17th, 2023, the zoo announced they acquired (0.0.4) domestic guinea pigs named Ande, Cusco, Machu, and Picchu which are now on exhibit on Guinea Pig Island.

On March 26th, the zoo announced they acquired (0.0.6) domestic goats (breed(s) not specified) which are now on exhibit in the goat yard. The zoo's old goats were moved to a bts enclosure for retirement.

On March 20th, 2023, the zoo announced they acquired a (0.1) fennec fox named Cher.

On April 17th, the zoo announced that Milo and Cher made their public debut and are now on exhibit.

On May 6th, the zoo announced that they moved their macaws and eclectus parrots back on exhibit on a trial basis to determine if avian influenza is not in the area.

On October 17th, the zoo announced that they acquired a (0.0.1) domestic ferret named Artemis which is now an ambassador animal.

On December 20th, the zoo announced they acquired (0.0.4) Navajo-Churro sheep, (0.0.3) Arapawa Island goats, and (0.0.2) Karakul sheep which are now on exhibit in the Double-H Ranch.

On June 6th, the zoo announced that (0.0.2) red-ruffed lemurs were born around mid-May which are now on exhibit.

On August 30th, the zoo announced the lemurs' names, Fiti and Záza.

On January 19th, 2024, the zoo announced they moved their jaguar and red pandas off-display as their exhibits will undergo renovations for the next 3 months.

On September 11th, the zoo announced their (0.1) red panda named Xena passed away at ~5 years due to unknown causes (at the time).

On January 19th, 2024, the zoo announced they moved their jaguar and red pandas off-display as their exhibits will undergo renovations for the next 3 months.

On September 27th, the zoo announced they moved their jaguar back on exhibit. On October 2nd, the zoo announced they moved their red panda back on exhibit.

On December 21st, the zoo announced that a (0.1) capybara named Boo passed away on December 19th.

Something I unfortunately did not note until after I visited: the zoo's last red panda passed away in April and the zoo's jaguar passed away in June, so the zoo is temporarily missing those two species. The former fossa exhibit is also under renovation and currently doesn't hold anything.

In good news, the zoo still holds at least half a dozen Parma Wallabies across 3 exhibits!

Also, the small walk-through aviary is not accessible due to avian flu; there also doesn't appear to be any signage inside.

On March 13th, the zoo announced their (1m.0) cattle egret named Edgar passed away at age 25.
