West Midland Safari and Leisure Park Hard standing

Most zoos and safari parks put hoofstock on hard standing in the winter time to stop their hooves from getting damp. On the programme safari park which features WMSP all the animals were out on the snow. Why don't they put them on hard standing when the weather is bad?

I have an idea they keep the animals out because the park is still open.
When the park is closed then I think they keep on hard standing ground.
Mind you last time I went if they have to keep all the hooved animals on hard standing ground then quite a large area of the park would have to be turned over to hard ground

Other reasons include resting pasture and disrupting the parasite life cycle which continues whilst they have access to pasture. It allows the species to be treated more thoroughly for the said parasites aswell.

They might have just done it for the TV programme, all the hoofstock have been shut away whilst it was raining when I've visited.
