As the title suggests, this one will focus on the MOUNTAINS AND POLES category - as previously, the match will last for three days and although discussion of your reasoning and provision of supplementary evidence is not mandatory (except in cases of a 5:0 vote) it *is* very much encouraged.

Moreover, even if one does not feel comfortable voting, please do ask questions, post comments relating to your opinions on the evidence presented, and generally-speaking get involved in the wider discussion!

Think there's little doubt Prague wins here, the question is by how much. On the one hand the cliffside exhibits, on the other the Polar bear exhibit. But what does Chester actually have in this category? The snow leopards, and?

Maybe Andean Bears? Possibly Waldrapp, Monk Vultures?

These, plus the red pandas and *possibly* the jaguar - I'll have to research the latter a bit. Think some of the smaller bird species would also count too.

While I can agree with the Andean bears, jaguar is a little bit of a stretch surely :P.
Prague has roughly:
  • Barbary macaque
  • Barbary sheep
  • Black and rufous sengi?
  • Could argue Chinese pangolin
  • Eastern kiang
  • Geoffroy's cat?
  • Himalayan tahr
  • Kikuyu guereza
  • Kuban tur
  • Mishmi takin
  • Nepalese red panda
  • Polar bear
  • Siberian Pallas' cat
  • White lipped deer
Plus most of Sichuan, bits of the Rakos house, and much of Gobi too. Purely on the basis of the Polar bears and the contrasting Andean bears, I'll bring my vote down to 3-2, but Chester offers really precious little besides that...

Most likely :D that's why I said I'll need to research the latter, as I don't know offhand whether their range extends into the montane forests of the Andes or not.

As you note, this category isn't one of the strengths of Chester by a long shot.
