Hi! My name is Jax I've never used zoo chat before so any advice is welcome. I'm from Colorado Springs and work at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. I am a huge bird nerd and overwhelmingly love vultures. I'm really interested in the fantasy zoo part but don't know how too really join in. Any advice is accepted and appreciated. Hopefully, I will see you all around.
 
Welcome to Zoochat! You'll certainly find no lack of fellow bird nerds on here! I'm also super jealous of the picture of you and the okapi (as it's my favorite species).

To join in to the Fantasy Zoo threads, you just need to ask on the thread if you can join in! I recommend the Zoo Community - Part 5 thread which is good for newcomers to the forum - it’s where I started off :D. Another good one is Make an Exhibit for that country.

Just in case you hadn’t already figured this out, you can browse the fantasy zoo threads by going to the home page and then clicking on fantasy zoo threads just below :)
 
We have few (if any) regular contributors from Colorado and few members who actually work at a zoo. In light of this your insights will be especially appreciated. I was at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo for a couple days and and Denver Zoo for half a day in (I think) January 2009. Unlike most members here who love Denver, I did not care for it and enjoyed Cheyenne more.
