Hello from Sweden

Hi i am a zoo enthusiast from sweden that recently signed in here att zoochat. I am planing to be prety active here on the site and i will probably have to exuse my english far to many times :) So hello zoochat!

Hej, welcome to Zoochat. Nice to have another Swede here! :D

What is the zoo you most frequently visit? Kolmarden, Boras (bit far up), Eskilstuna or Nordens Ark in Hunnebostrand?

Actualy I mostly visit Danish zoos. I think they have a lot higher standards and is generarly better. I visit Aalborg zoo very often because it is just a short cartrip from were me and my family often go to vacation. It is sort of my home zoo in a way :). the denmark trip is my zoo-trip and i have been in every major danish zoo. But the zoo in sweden that i visit the most is Borås zoo :)
But I would love to get down to holland or germany and visit Berlin, Colonge, duisburg, lipzig, Burgers, emmen and Rotterdam zoo but that will have to wait I am afraid :)
 
Yes, Gothenburg is quite close and convenient for Denmark too (both Aalborg and Kobenhavn).

Boras is a nice zoo, have fond memories (came thru Gothenburg much on TorLine :)). On the whole though I always liked Swedish zoos for the natural feel and big enclosures (unlike Netherlands at the time)!

Looking forward to any reviews and visits to either country's zoos then.

Yes most of the enclosures in sweden is fencing around a natural area and because most zoos is open range zoos the enclosures is realy big and good for the animals. Nordens ark is probably has the best enclosures of this type, the natual landscape is absolutly stunning. And they house mountain-animals on big real mountains:D, something i feel many zoos miss

Well i look forward to that to :D
