I'm a penguin keeper in omaha nebraska and love those crazy birds. I do have a question for those fellow keepers. We are going to start target training our birds and would like to know how others have done things and your success. Thanks

Hi, welcome to the forum :)
I've never seen them target trained but I've seen them trained to follow a buzzer so it obviously works. I think it'd help if you use a clicker too, they're a bit dense but they'll try and do most things for a fish lol.

Welcome to ZooChat. Love those Penguins! I had the pleasure of working with them for a short time while training for the Zookeepers Class at the Los Angeles Zoo. Very affectionate. Unfortunately, no longer displayed in L.A.
