Joining after lurking for some time. I have always loved zoos and wildlife viewing. Grew up in Alaska with fond memories of wildlife, land and aquatic (and the Alaska Zoo) and now live in Houston where I visit the Zoo very regularly. I took a trip to Tanzania this year which only further ignited my interest in wildlife, zoos, conservation and the like (and lead to a hyena obsession, hence the username).
