I found this sight by accident as I was inquiring as to what happened to all
the hoofstock from the horn and hoof mesa from the san diego zoo. I was incredibly shocked and saddened to read by some of the members of this sight that they were brokered and sold to texas game ranches? As a member of the san diego zoo for several years now I was saddened when they got rid of the horn and hoof mesa and now to read where some of the animals have ended up is depressing... I just don't know how the general public does not know this or maybe they wouldn't care? Either way not to be depressing but I'm a huge fan of hoofstock and every year my vacations cater to traveling to zoos and animal parks. Last year I went to California for 10 days and drove from Northern California where I went to B. Bryan Preserve in Point Reyes where they breed african hoofstock then went to Safari west, San Francisco zoo, LA zoo, Oakland zoo, San diego zoo and animal park. Needless to say I think I might be a little bit nuts but I just love to see all the animals. Any suggestions as to where I can go see lots of ungulates on my next vacation are always appreciated. Here's hoping I can meet other animal fanatics....
