Does anyone remember or have links to the small indoor collection adjacent to the Hippodrome Circus building.
Circus horses, elephants, big cats etc were not housed in this area. It was small mammals and birds except for the lone giraffe at the end of the room. Whether the giraffe was exercised outside I have no idea. But I saw it over 2 or 3 years summer vacations to Great Yarmouth. We couldn't afford the circus so went to see the Giraffe. Can't now believe it was kept in those conditions!
